Jolie Barnhart was born in Shawnee, Kansas in 2001 and grew up in the Kansas City metro area. Taking photos and the love for a camera has always been a part of her life. When she was younger it was never serious, mainly photos on cheap cameras her family had. But once she entered high school, she discovered how photographs can make impacts on people’s lives. She has always had a passion for journalistic photography.

She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelors in Strategic Communications and a minor in Photography. Through her programs at KU, she has learned different styles of photography and has developed her own fine art style. She specializes in portraits, product and event photography.
